When I first started out, I was confused by all the terminology & quirky terms in Floral Design and what it all meant.
A few years on, I decided to pull together a handy & quick reference glossary for anyone training or refreshing their skills:

Fancy french term for buttonhole, but there’s something charming about baby bouts lined up in a row isn’t there?

Set up of flowers on site, similar to bump in & out

Both floristry scissors, the brand Niwaki is very widely used

Number of stems in a wrap or bunch

That characterful wiggle that locally grown flowers usually have after being exposed to the elements, compared to flowers that are farmed in a more controlled environment
